Abstract(s)
Considerando que as estratégias de coping são utilizadas pelos sujeitos para lidar com as demandas provenientes de situações adversas e stressoras, que a resiliência se refere à capacidade de ser resistente face às adversidades e que a entrada e a adaptação ao Ensino Superior têm sido reportadas como potencialmente stressoras, neste estudo procurou-se estudar estes dois constructos numa amostra de estudantes do Ensino Superior. 301 estudantes deste nível de ensino responderam a um inquérito por questionário que, além de algumas questões de cariz sociodemográfico, incluiu o Questionário de Estratégias de Coping (QEC) e a Escala da Resiliência (ER).
ABSTRACT: Considering that coping strategies are used to deal with the demands arising from adverse and stressful situations, also considering that resilience refers to the outcome of the strategy(s) used to enhance the individual's adaptation to the adversities he/she may face, and, finally, considering that entry and adaptation to Higher Education have been reported as a situation potentially stressful, this study sought to study these two constructs in a sample of Higher Education students. 301 Higher Education students participated answered a questionnaire survey that, in addition to some sociodemographic questions, included the Coping Strategies Questionnaire (CSQ) and the Resilience Scale.
