Abstract(s)
A presente dissertação pretende analisar os fatores que influenciam as decisĂ”es escolares dos jovens em termos de interrupção ou prolongamento dos estudos a nĂvel do ensino superior bem como as diferenças entre as trajetĂłrias sociais e escolares de indivĂduos com distinta escolaridade.
Como linhas de orientação e de objetividade, esta dissertação orienta-se para o condicionalismo imposto pela origem social do jovem no seu percurso escolar. Neste sentido, constrói-se uma perspetiva teórica acerca dos fatores que influenciam a escolarização e os projetos de futuro.
No que respeita Ă estratĂ©gia metodolĂłgica aplicada, esta dissertação irĂĄ ter uma abordagem qualitativa pois irĂĄ ser utilizada, como tĂ©cnica de pesquisa, as histĂłrias de vida que, por sua vez, permitem refletir acerca das referĂȘncias exteriores ao jovem, que configuram os comportamentos e as vivĂȘncias do mesmo.
Ă possĂvel concluir que a origem social dos jovens condiciona as suas escolhas escolares e os seus projetos de futuro.
ABSTRACT: The present dissertation intends to analyze the factors that influence young people's school decisions in terms of interruption or extension of studies at the higher education level as well as the differences between the social and school trajectories of individuals with different schooling. As guidelines and objectivity, this dissertation is oriented towards the constraints imposed by the social origin of the young person in their school career. In this sense, a theoretical perspective is built on the factors that influence schooling and future projects. With regard to the methodological strategy applied, this dissertation will have a qualitative approach because it will be used, as a research technique, the life stories that, in turn, allow us to reflect on the external references to the young person, which configure the behaviors and the experiences of the same. It is possible to conclude that the social origin of young people conditions their school choices and their future projects.
