| dc.description.abstract | ABSTRACT: This paper is the result of an empirical study carried out in the context of a Pre-School and Primary School Education, whose purpose was to observe and characterize the resources in two traineeship schools, as well as the programs offered to children/ students, to understand their potential in terms of the offer of Physical Activity (PA) practice opportunities in the early ages. The qualitative methodology involved a participant and reflective observation by the researcher/trainee to analyze and record the resources and programs in two schools (A and B) and an interview in Focus Group educators/ teachers of the Primary School Education and Physical Education (n = 5) of the two schools, to note their perceptions regarding the potentiality of the resources available in their schools to perform Physical Activity by their students. We found that the two Schools (A and B) presented considerable differences in terms of resources appropriate to the practice of PA, highlighting differences in recreational spaces (exterior and interior), physical education spaces, specific materials available and, above all, in practices offered in extracurricular activities, such as sports schools. On the other hand, the educators/ teachers of the Primary School Education and of Physical Education emphasize the role of the school itself in the Physical Activity in schools and justify that there should be more specialized teachers for the Pre-School, as well as more spaces and resources for the practice of regular physical activity by children. | en |
