Abstract(s)
As novas medidas do BCE dirigidas à banca, impulsionam novas exigências, requisitos e obrigações.
ABSTRACT: Globalization and technological advances in the banking sector compel today’s banking institutions to turn to innovation. Currently, several platforms are available that enable customers to communicate and conduct transactions online, and it is up to the banks to deliver good levels of service and quality. With the fragile financial system, security in the banking sector is called into question given the new developments that affect the financial markets and the rapid changes in monetary policy. The new measures of the BCE have addressed such banking issues, driving new demands, requirements, and obligations. This study aims to develop a customer knowledge profile that can predict customer behavior with respect to perceptions of risk. Several factors determine the customer's choice, including knowledge and analysis of financial investments, perceptions of the level of risk, and attitude toward risk / return. In addition, the account manager may influence customer choice. To pursue this matter further, a sample of 218 individuals with personal experience of different investments was surveyed via an online questionnaire to understand in practice whether customers are prepared to take risks, to understand which customers are more or less risk averse, and to identify the elements that influence customers behavior in the purchase / investment option. We performed a statistical analysis to determine whether significant differences exist between the selected groups.
