Abstract(s)
O presente relatório de estágio tem como principal finalidade refletir sobre as práticas pedagógicas desenvolvidas no âmbito das unidades curriculares de Estágio Pedagógico I e Estágio Pedagógico II que se encontram integradas no Mestrado em Educação Pré-Escolar e Ensino do 1.º Ciclo do Ensino Básico oferecido pela Faculdade de Ciências Socais e Humanas da Universidade dos Açores.
Neste sentido, à luz das investigações sobre a eficácia e melhoria das organizações escolares, que nos demonstraram que os estabelecimentos de ensino e os seus profissionais têm influência sobre o sucesso dos alunos, procurámos, ao longo dos dois estágios, converter alguns dos ensinamentos desta área de investigação em práticas pedagógicas. Desta forma, as nossas reflexões giraram em torno do impacto dessas práticas nas aprendizagens dos alunos e das principais dificuldades que sentimos em alguns momentos ao desenvolvê-las.
Para aprofundar e enriquecer as nossas reflexões, apresentamos paralelamente às mesmas os resultados de uma investigação que realizámos, na qual procurámos perceber como se manifestavam os fatores de eficácia na vida profissional dos educadores de infância e professores do 1.º Ciclo do Ensino Básico das escolas públicas dos concelhos de Ponta Delgada e da Ribeira Grande, em São Miguel, na Região Autónoma dos Açores. O estudo desenvolveu-se segundo uma metodologia mista, sendo que entrevistámos dois educadores e dois professores e aplicámos um questionário a 419 educadores e professores dos concelhos acima referidos. Recorremos também à observação direta e à análise documental de alguns documentos que produzimos ao nível das práticas pedagógicas, tais como as planificações e as avaliações.
Concluímos que as práticas pedagógicas que desenvolvemos no âmbito dos estudos sobre a eficácia das escolas influenciaram positivamente o desempenho dos nossos alunos. Na mesma linha, os educadores e professores inquiridos assumiram que tais práticas se afiguravam importantes para o sucesso das suas turmas. A investigação demonstrou, ainda, que nas escolas públicas dos concelhos de Ponta Delgada e da Ribeira Grande ocorrem alguns processos suscetíveis de terem impacto relevante no progresso dos alunos.
ABSTRACT: This internship report's main purpose is to reflect on the pedagogical practices developed within the course units of Teacher Training I and II which are integrated in the Master in Preschool Education and Teaching of the 1st cycle of Elementary Education offered by the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences at the University of the Azores. In this sense, in the light of the investigations on the effectiveness and improvement of school organizations, which have shown us that educational institutions and educational professionals have influence on student success, we tried throughout these two training programs to convert some of the teachings of this research area into pedagogical practices.Our reflection revolves around the impact of these practices on student learning and the main difficulties that we sometimes experienced to develop them. To deepen and enrich our reflections, we present in parallel with them an investigation that we conducted, in which we tried to understand how effectiveness factors were manifested in the professional life of early childhood educators and teachers of the 1st cycle of elementary education in public schools in municipalities of Ponta Delgada and Ribeira Grande, S. Miguel, in the Autonomous Region of the Azores, Portugal. The study was developed according to a mixed methodology. We interviewed two educators and two teachers and applied a questionnaire to 419 educators and teachers of the above mentioned municipalities. We also used direct observation and analysis of some documents produced at the level of pedagogical practices, such as lesson plans and evaluations. We conclude that the pedagogical practices that we have developed in the context of studies on the effectiveness of schools positively influenced the performance of our students. In the same line, the educators and teachers surveyed stated that such practices were important for the success of their classes. The research also showed that in public schools in the municipalities of Ponta Delgada and Ribeira Grande occur some processes that may have a relevant impact on student’s progress.
