| dc.description.abstract | Quando olhamos à distância, homens e mulheres que trabalham nunca usufruíram das mesmas oportunidades nem possibilidades de acesso ao mercado de emprego e a formas remuneradas de trabalho. Mais do que o trabalho em si, foi a falta de uma qualquer remuneração que ditou a exclusão das mulheres das estatísticas do emprego. Faremos uma incursão pelos momentos censitários que decorreram em Portugal na segunda metade do século XX e primeira década do século XXI para demonstrar que o crescimento das taxas de atividade e de participação femininas constituem a principal razão de acréscimo da população ativa geral. O conjunto de transformações diversificadas, e verificadas a todos os níveis da sociedade portuguesa, projetaram as mulheres para fora da esfera doméstica em que tradicionalmente eram recenseadas. Sem surpresa, ao termos em conta a pertença geracional, acentuam-se ainda mais as desigualdades já existentes no geral entre homens e mulheres. A geração, qualquer que seja a forma de a definir, constitui assim um fator de peso para o entendimento da mudança demográfica e social, mas também da dinâmica da população ativa portuguesa. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | ABSTRACT: When we look at the distance, men and women who work never enjoyed the same opportunities or chances to access the labor market and the forms of paid of the work. More than the work itself, was the lack of any compensation that dictated the exclusion of women from employment statistics. We will make an incursion by the census moments that took place in Portugal in the second half of the twentieth century between the first decade of this century to show that the growth rates of activity and participation of women is the main reason of increase in the general working population. The diverse sets of transformations, and verified at all levels of Portuguese society, designed for women outside the domestic sphere in which traditionally were surveyed. Unsurprisingly, the terms in regard to generational membership, are accentuated even more the already existing inequalities between men and women overall. The generation, whatever the form of the set, thus constituting an important factor for understanding the demographic and social change but also the dynamics of the Portuguese active population. | en |
