A Relação Escola-Família: que implicações no Sucesso Educativo e na Formação para a Cidadania?

Abstract(s)
O envolvimento parental na vida escolar das crianças é socialmente reconhecido como essencial e indispensável. Não obstante este ser um tema muito estudado e debatido no âmbito da Sociologia, continua a ser pertinente refletir sobre os vínculos entre escola e família, sob o ponto de vista da Educação. Neste sentido, este relatório incide essencialmente nos agentes escola e família, bem como na relevância das relações entre estas no que diz respeito ao sucesso educativo das crianças e/ou dos alunos e ainda à construção de cidadãos reflexivos, responsáveis e ativos na sociedade. Assim, o reconhecimento da importância da relação entre a escola e a família e a intenção de conceber estratégias e promover atividades que envolvessem as famílias no quotidiano escolar dos seus educandos foram os principais motivos que levaram à opção pelo tema deste Relatório de Estágio: A Relação Escola-Família: que implicações no Sucesso Educativo e na formação para a Cidadania?
Ao longo deste trabalho, é apresentada a prática educativa desenvolvida nos contextos de Estágio Pedagógico I e II, nos quais foram implementadas atividades potenciadoras da promoção de uma relação mais estreita entre a escola e as famílias. Ainda com o objetivo de obter representações da educadora de infância e da professora do 1.º Ciclo do Ensino Básico, bem como dos pais/encarregados de educação acerca da importância da relação entre a escola e a família, foram realizadas entrevistas às profissionais de educação e aos pais/encarregados de educação e foram aplicados inquéritos por questionário aos pais/encarregados de educação. Os dados obtidos possibilitaram planificar a ação educativa de forma contextualizada, potenciando o envolvimento e a participação das famílias.
Concluímos, assim, com base na revisão da literatura e nas práticas implementadas, que é possível promover uma relação estreita entre a família e a escola, sendo as crianças e/ou os alunos os que mais beneficiam com ela. Contudo, apesar de reconhecida a importância deste vínculo, teimam em existir alguns entraves a ser superados nas dinâmicas desta relação. Torna-se, então, imprescindível continuar a diligenciar formas de ultrapassar esses obstáculos no sentido de um bem maior: potenciar o sucesso educativo das crianças e/ou dos alunos, bem como a formação dos mesmo enquanto cidadãos.
ABSTRACT: The parental involvement in the school life of the childrens is socially recognized as essential and indispensable. Despite this being a topic much studied and debated within the scope of Sociology, it is still important to think about the bond between school and family on the point of education. This investigation focus essentially in the family and school agents as well as the importance between these two institutions for the education and formation of the students not only regarding the educational success of these but also helps building a citizens reflexive responsible and active in the environment surrounding them. In recognition of this importance for the relationship between school and family and the intention to devise strategies and promote activities that effectively involve families in school daily life and their students. These were the main reasons that led to the choice of the theme of this Report of Internship: The School-Family Relationship: What implications for Educational Success and training for Citizenship? Throughout this work, the educational practice developed in the contexts of Pedagogical Internship I and II is presented, in which activities and dynamics were implemented to promote a closer relationship between school and families. For this, and with the main objective of obtaining the conceptions and representations of both the kindergarten teacher and the teacher of the 1st Cycle of Basic Education, as well as the parents/guardians themselves about the importance of the relationship between school and family, interviews were carried out with education professionals, as well as with parents/guardians and questionnaire surveys were also applied to parents/guardians. The data that was obtained allowed a plan for the educational action in a contextualized way, enhancing the involvement and participation of families. We conclude, based on the literature review and practices implemented, that it is possible to promote a close relationship between the family and the school, as well as the children/students who will benefit most from these relationships being so connected and intertwined. Despite the importance and benefits of this bond being recognized, there are still some obstacles to be overcome in the dynamics of this relationship. It is essential to continue to work on ways to overcome these obstacles towards a greater good: to enhance the educational success of children/students, as well as their formation as citizens.
