O presente Relatório tem como principal objetivo apresentar, analisar e refletir sobre a ação educativa desenvolvida no âmbito do Estágio Pedagógico, integrado no Mestrado em Ensino de História no 3.º Ciclo do Ensino Básico e no Secundário, da Universidade dos Açores.
Em paralelo com a nossa reflexão em redor da globalidade das ações desenvolvidas no nosso Estágio, entendemos aprofundar um tema em específico, face àquele que consideramos ser o potencial do lúdico no ensino de História. Trata-se de uma disciplina que vem sofrendo com o crescente desinteresse dos alunos, sendo um dos desafios enfrentados pelos professores torná-la interessante. Assim, intitulamos este Relatório de “Play with History: o lúdico no ensino de História no 3.º Ciclo do Ensino Básico e no Secundário”.
Desta forma, para além de darmos a conhecer todo o trabalho realizado durante o nosso Estágio, apresentamos também os desafios do ensino de História e de que forma podemos, ou devemos, enquanto futuros docentes da disciplina, cativar os nossos alunos e tornar o processo ensino-aprendizagem mais interessante e eficiente, dando ênfase ao papel que os recursos lúdicos podem exercer neste contexto.
De modo a cumprir os nossos propósitos, e para além da análise que fazemos à nossa ação educativa, recorremos ao inquérito por questionário para recolher as informações e conceções pretendidas. Foram questionados vinte docentes do 3.º Ciclo do Ensino Básico e/ou do Secundário de diversas escolas dos Açores.
Numa fase em que é urgente repensar as estratégias e recursos utilizados em sala de aula, concluímos que o lúdico apresenta imensas potencialidades no ensino de História, tornando-se num valioso aliado para o professor, na procura por um processo ensino-aprendizagem mais eficiente. Em 1845, o célebre Almeida Garrett escreveu a peça “Falar verdade a mentir”. Pois bem, nós acreditamos que é possível “Ensinar História a brincar”.
ABSTRACT: The main objective of this Report is to present, analyze and reflect on the educational action developed within the scope of the Pedagogical Internship, integrated in the Master's Degree in History Teaching in the 3rd Cycle of Basic and Secondary Education, at the University of the Azores. In parallel with our reflection on the globality of the actions developed in our Internship, we intend to deepen a specific theme, in view of what we consider to be the potential of play in the teaching of History. It is a discipline that has been suffering from the growing disinterest of students, and one of the challenges faced by teachers is to make it interesting. Thus, we title this Report "Play with History: the ludic in the teaching of History in the 3rd Cycle of Basic and Secondary Education". In this way, in addition to making known all the work done during our Internship, we also present the challenges of teaching History and how we can, or should, as future teachers of the discipline, captivate our students and make the teaching-learning process more interesting and efficient, emphasizing the role that playful resources can play in this context. In order to fulfill our purposes, and in addition to the analysis we make of our educational action, we use the questionnaire survey to collect the desired information and conceptions. Twenty teachers of the 3rd Cycle of Basic Education and/or Secondary Education from various schools in the Azores were questioned. At a time when it is urgent to rethink the strategies and resources used in the classroom, we conclude that playfulness has immense potential in the teaching of History, becoming a valuable ally for the teacher, in the search for a more efficient teaching-learning process. In 1845, the famous Almeida Garrett wrote the play "Speaking truth to lie". Well, we believe that it is possible to "Teach History through play".
