| dc.description.abstract | Este trabalho tem o intuito de ajudar a compreender o processo de entrada no Ensino Superior (ES), com base nas características sociodemográficas dos estudantes, nas suas experiências de integração e acolhimento, e no seu envolvimento. […]. Os dados foram analisados utilizando testes não paramétricos e a Análise em Componentes Principais Categórica (CatPCA). No mapa percetual resultante da CatPCA, a 1ª dimensão evidencia a oposição entre os estudantes com menores níveis de envolvimento académico (sobretudo na dimensão afetiva), participação, integração e acolhimento, e os restantes. Por outro lado, a 2ª dimensão opõe os mais novos, os que concordam mais com o papel da praxe a nível da integração académica e os que revelam menores níveis de envolvimento na dimensão cognitiva, aos mais velhos, que tendencialmente não valorizam tanto o papel da praxe e apresentam maiores níveis de envolvimento na dimensão cognitiva. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | ABSTRACT: This work aims to help the understanding of the process of entry into Higher Education (HE), based on students' sociodemographic characteristics, their experiences of integration and their engagement.[…]. Data were analyzed using non-parametric tests and Categorical Principal Component Analysis (CatPCA). In the perceptual map resulting from CatPCA, the first dimension shows the opposition among students with lower levels of engagement (especially in the affective dimension), participation and integration, and the rest. On the other hand, the second dimension opposes the younger ones, those who agree more with the role of hazing for the integration and those that show lower levels of cognitive engagement, to the older ones, who tend to not value the role of hazing and show higher levels of cognitive engagement. | en |
