Abstract(s)
O presente relatório centra-se no trabalho de intervenção pedagógica que foi desenvolvido no âmbito do Estágio do Mestrado em Ensino de Português e de Inglês no 2.º Ciclo do Ensino Básico e implementado junto de duas turmas do 5.º ano de escolaridade. A abordagem do Storytelling como base para a aprendizagem de línguas foi o tema posto em prática como estratégia para aumentar o interesse e envolvimento dos alunos no processo de aprendizagem das línguas visadas.
O trabalho dividiu-se em três fases. Na primeira fase, foram recolhidas informações sobre os alunos visados através de conversas informais com as professoras de português e de inglês do 1.º ciclo e procedeu-se à observação das aulas das orientadoras cooperantes das disciplinas de português e de inglês. Num segundo momento, após a implementação de cada aula integrada nas sequências didáticas destinadas a este estágio, foram realizadas revisões junto dos alunos e reflexões sobre as atividades realizadas em cada sequência didática. Na terceira e última fase, após implementação de um questionário aos alunos sobre Storytelling, foi realizada uma análise sobre as respostas dadas com o objetivo de apurar as perceções dos alunos sobre a influência do Storytelling na sua aprendizagem.
Os resultados obtidos através dos questionários e da observação das práticas demonstraram que o uso de histórias nas aulas de português e de inglês facilitou a aprendizagem e permitiu consolidar e aperfeiçoar conhecimentos já existentes, no caso do português, e também introduzir e desenvolver novos conhecimentos, no caso do inglês.
ABSTRACT: The present report focuses on a pedagogical intervention that was developed within the Masters course in Teaching Portuguese and English in the 2nd Cycle of Elementary Education and was implemented in two classes in the 5th grade. The Storytelling approach as a basis for learning languages was the theme chosen as a strategy to increase student’s interest and engagement in the learning process of the target languages. The project was divided into three phases. In the first phase, information was gathered about the students of both classes by means of informal conversation with the Portuguese and the English teachers from previous years. In the second phase, lessons were observed on both languages to adjust and plan lessons for the target classes. After implementing each lesson that was part of the didactic sequences of this report, the activities were reviewed with the students and reflected upon. In the third and final phase, the students answered a questionnaire about Storytelling and its implications on their learning abilities, and then the results of their answers were analysed. The questionnaire results and lesson observation demonstrated that using stories in Portuguese and English classes made it easier for learning purposes and perfected and strengthened knowledge that was already present in the case of the Portuguese language. In relation to the English language, it allowed the introduction and development of new linguistic skills.
