Abstract(s)

His social network did enhance the Azorean sense of common identity and political autonomy. Given the international strategic importance of these islands, the English and the Americans had reached an agreement in order to have granted the concession of facilities but also for it to be Pan American Airways to operate the regular air services between Europe and America in the period before the second world conflict.
