Abstract(s)
O presente relatório tem como principal objetivo o estudo da organização e das práticas de gestão de Recursos Humanos de uma empresa do setor do tabaco. Para a prossecução deste objetivo, serão caracterizados o setor do tabaco nos Açores, a empresa, o departamento de Recursos Humanos e, serão ainda descritas as práticas de gestão de Recursos Humanos aplicáveis na empresa.
A metodologia aplicada foi o estudo de caso através de um estágio académico, realizado na área de Recursos Humanos da empresa Fábrica de Tabaco Micaelense, S.A., sediada em Ponta Delgada. Os métodos utilizados permitiram concretizar os objetivos da investigação, uma vez que, foi possível identificar as práticas de gestão de recursos humanos aplicadas na empresa e compará-las com as estudadas na revisão bibliográfica.
Desta comparação foi possível reconhecer as diferenças e as semelhanças com as práticas de gestão de Recursos Humanos reconhecidas no estudo efetuado.
Concluiu-se que a empresa aplica práticas de gestão de Recursos Humanos adequadas, mas pode melhorar o seu desempenho organizacional se implementar algumas alterações descritas no presente relatório.
A pertinência do relatório prende-se, portanto, com a continuidade do estudo do tema da gestão de Recursos Humanos, num setor diferente, como o da indústria e distribuição de tabaco, na Região Autónoma dos Açores, podendo assim contribuir para futuras investigações, uma vez que as práticas de gestão de Recursos Humanos devem ser aplicadas conforme as características da empresa.
ABSTRACT: The main objective of this study is to study the organization and Human Resources management practices of a company in the tobacco sector. To achieve this objective, it will be characterized the tobacco sector in the Azores, the company and the Human Resources department and the Human Resource management practices applicable in the company will be described. The applied methodology was the case study through an academic internship, carried out in the Human Resources area of the company Fábrica de Tabaco Micaelense, S.A., and headquartered in Ponta Delgada. The methods used made it possible to achieve the objectives of the investigation, since it was possible to identify the Human Resource management practices applied in the company and compare them with those studied in the literature review. From this comparison, it was possible to recognize the differences and similarities with the Human Resource management practices recognized in the study. It was concluded that the company applies appropriate Human Resources management practices, but it can improve its organizational performance if it implements some changes described in this report. The relevance of the study is therefore, related to the continuity of the study of the theme of Human Resources management, in a different sector, such as the tobacco industry and distribution, in the Autonomous Region of the Azores, thus being able to contribute to future investigations, since Human Resource management practices must be applied according to the characteristics of the company.
