Abstract(s)
Com este projecto, realizado na área de especialidade em ensino no 1.º ciclo do ensino básico (1.ºCEB) do curso de Mestrado em Supervisão Pedagógica, pretendemos reflectir sobre o primeiro ano de implementação, na Região Autónoma dos Açores, do Subprograma Oportunidade I (PO I) na área vocacional das expressões, com reforço disciplinar da educação artística e educação físico - motora. Partindo do pressuposto que este programa específico de recuperação é visto como uma estratégia de intervenção pedagógica inovadora para o ensino das expressões no 1º CEB, aspiramos contribuir para o sucesso educativo de crianças e jovens que, de outra forma, não completariam esta primeira fase do ensino básico. Nesta nossa pesquisa definimos vários objectivos de estudo para conhecer a percepção dos professores, que leccionaram em 2009/10 neste subprograma, em par pedagógico, detém sobre o impacto que o PO I proporcionou, numa comunidade escolar da Vila de Rabo de Peixe; mais propriamente na Escola Básica Integrada Rui Galvão de Carvalho. Pretendemos apurar, quais as mudanças que esse programa específico facultou às crianças/jovens, ao nível de aquisição de competências essenciais da área das expressões do 1º CEB, assim como, realizar uma apreciação final sobre os aspectos a melhorar na continuidade da sua aplicação. E por fim, compreender “as mudanças” operadas âmbito do desenvolvimento profissional do(s) professor(es), no que refere às suas funções de leccionação, tutoria, cooperação e reflexão; e, às necessidades sentidas quanto à melhoria de recursos materiais, de dinâmicas de cooperação e de formação adequada. Assim, propusemo-nos fazer uma abordagem de carácter misto, de natureza quantitativa e qualitativa, na modalidade de estudo de caso, num contexto específico de escola. A entrevista, foi elaborada em função dos resultados obtidos pela aplicação do inquérito por questionário a todos os professores da escola que leccionavam neste subprograma, sendo posteriormente aplicada apenas aos pares pedagógicos com opinião menos favorável, de cada grupo disciplinar, em relação ao PO I. No que concerne, aos resultados do nosso estudo parecem surgir algumas diferenças de opinião por parte dos professores relativamente ao primeiro ano de implementação deste PO I, sobretudo entre os professores mais generalistas, também tutores, e os especialistas, cujas expectativas profissionais parecem ter sido ligeiramente diferentes. Contudo, no seu primeiro ano de implementação os professores consideram que o seu impacto é globalmente favorável para as crianças e jovens da comunidade escolar de Rabo de Peixe, se bem que deva haver um reforço nos recursos que apoiam este projecto - materiais e humanos. Esperamos que este estudo possa levar uma reflexão a todos os professores, que leccionem neste tipo de Programas, de forma a tentar colmatar as dificuldades sentidas, nomeadamente ao seu funcionamento, para os alunos alcancem sucesso educativo.
ABSTRACT: With this project, carried out in the specific teaching area of the first stage of primary education (1st FSPE) of the Master in Teaching Supervision, we intend to debate the first year of implementation of the Subprogram Opportunity I (PO I), in the vocational area of expressions, especially in art and physical education, in the Autonomous Region of Azores. Assuming that this particular recovery program is seen as an innovative strategy of teaching intervention for teaching expressions in a primary school, we want to contribute to the educational success of children and young people who, otherwise may not have completed this stage of the primary school. In our research, we defined several objectives of study to know the perception of teachers, who taught in pairs in this subprogram during the school year 2009/10, and the impact that the PO I provided in the School Escola Básica Integrada Rui Galvão de Carvalho, in Rabo de Peixe. We want to investigate the providing changes of this specific program for students in terms of acquiring basic skills in the area of the expressions of a primary school, as well as make a final assessment of areas for improvement in the continuity of their application. Finally, the understanding of "the changes" of the professional development of teachers concerning their teaching functions, mentoring, cooperation/reflection, the need of material improvement, cooperative dynamics and adequate training. So we decided to make a quantitative and qualitative approach, in case study in the school context. A questionnaire was made to all school teachers who were teaching this subprogram, and after obtaining the results, those whose opinion about this program was less favorable were interviewed. The results of our study show differences in the teacher’s opinions about the first year of implementation of this OP 1, especially among the generalist teachers, also tutors, and the specialists, whose professional expectations were slightly different. However, in the first year of implementation teachers are of the opinion that the impact is positive for the students of school of Rabo de Peixe, but there should be an improvement in the resources that support this project - material and human resources. We hope that this study will help teachers, who work in this kind of programs, to overcome difficulties, so that students may succeed.
