Este trabalho analisa a perceção relativamente ao papel do Assistente Social nas organizações. Este é um campo pouco explorado, embora com muito potencial tanto para o Serviço Social como para as empresas. Ao relacionar o trabalho do assistente social ao nível das organizações, é possível também abordar e perceber qual o seu papel nos Recursos Humanos. Como tal, para este estudo procedeu-se à realização de um inquérito com o principal objetivo de entender qual a visão, no geral, que atualmente se tem sobre o papel e a intervenção do Assistente Social na área dos Recursos Humanos. Os resultados obtidos mostram que os indivíduos que consideram que este profissional é importante para a atenuação dos problemas sociais têm maior probabilidade de considerar importante a sua integração nas empresas.
ABSTRACT: This work examines the perception regarding the role of social workers to the organizations. This is a poorly explored field, but with a lot of potential for both social workers and companies. When examining the role of the social workers at the level of organizations, it is also possible to address and understand their role to Human Resources. For this study, a survey was carried out with the main goal of understanding the perspective that people have on the role and intervention of the Social Worker in the Human Resources field. The results obtained reveal that individuals who consider that this professional is significant for the mitigation of social problems in general are also more likely to consider their integration in companies as important.
