Abstract(s)
Este estudo, nasce da percepção da necessidade em avaliar a satisfação profissional dos enfermeiros dos Hospitais do Arquipélago dos Açores, para que se criem linhas de actuação que permitam uma maior satisfação destes, e perceber os aspectos a desenvolver relativamente à qualidade dos cuidados prestados. Poderá ser um contributo importante para a definição de estratégias nas Instituições de Saúde. Pretendeu-se avaliar a opinião dos enfermeiros das Instituições de saúde relativamente à qualidade; do local de trabalho, dos hospitais na prestação de cuidados, dos serviços na prestação de cuidados e à melhoria contínua da qualidade. O estudo realizou-se junto de 207 enfermeiros. A colheita de dados realizou-se através do Instrumento de Avaliação da Satisfação Profissional de Nelson (1992) adaptado a Portugal por Paulo (2003). Tratou-se de um estudo descritivo correlacional. Após a análise, confirmou-se existirem diferenças significativas de opinião dos enfermeiros dos hospitais sobre a "Qualidade do Hospital na Prestação dos Cuidados". Concluiu-se que os enfermeiros do Hospital do Divino Espírito Santo (HDES) obtiveram a média de pontuações mais elevada nas escalas relativas à "Qualidade do Local de Trabalho", à "Qualidade do Hospital na Prestação de Cuidados" e à "Melhoria Contínua da Qualidade", tendo os enfermeiros do Hospital da Horta obtido a pontuação mais elevada quanto à Qualidade dos Serviços na Prestação de Cuidados. Concluiu-se ainda que; não existem diferenças significativas entre os enfermeiros do sexo feminino e masculino, quanto à satisfação profissional; não há relação estatisticamente significativa em todas as escalas do questionário, quanto à idade, vínculo laboral e tempo de serviço relativamente à satisfação profissional. Os enfermeiros do HDES obtiveram valores de satisfação profissional superiores aos dos colegas dos outros hospitais.
ABSTRACT: This study, is born from the perception of the necessity in evaluating the professional satisfaction of nurses in the hospitals of the Azorean Archipelago, so that could be created act lines and allow a bigger satisfaction of these, and to perceive the aspects to develop relatively the quality of the given cares. It could be an important contributes for the definition of strategies in the health institutions. It was intended to evaluate the opinion of nurses in the health institutions relatively to quality; of the workstation, of the hospitals in the instalment of cares, of the services in the instalment of cares and to the improvement continues of the quality. The study was on 207 nurses. The harvest of data was fulfilled through the instrument of evaluation of the professional satisfaction by Nelson (1992), adapted to Portugal by Paulo (2003). One was about a correlation descriptive study. After the analysis, it was confirmed exist significant differences of opinion of the nurses of the tree hospitals on the quality of the hospital in the instalment of the cares. One concluded that the nurses of the Hospital do Divino Espírito Santo (HDES) had gotten the highest average of punctuation in the scales relative to the quality of the workstation, quality of the hospital in the instalment of cares and in the improvement continues of the quality, having the nurses of the Hospital da Horta gotten the raised punctuation referring the quality of the services in the instalment of cares. It was still concluded that; there’s no significant relationship between the professional satisfactions in relation to the sex of the nurses; it does not have a statistic significance relation in all scales of the questionnaire in relation with the age, type of contract and service time relative to the professional satisfaction. The nurses of the HDES had gotten superior values of professional satisfaction to the ones of the colleagues of the others hospitals.
