A expressão plástica e a criança : contornos para uma reflexão em contexto de estágio

O presente Relatório de Estágio tem como principal objetivo apresentar e analisar a ação educativa desenvolvida nos Estágios Pedagógicos I e II, desenvolvidos no contexto da Educação Pré-Escolar e do 1.º Ciclo do Ensino Básico, no âmbito do Mestrado em Educação Pré-Escolar e Ensino do 1.º Ciclo do Ensino Básico, ministrado na Universidade dos Açores. Neste Relatório iremos analisar e refletir acerca das nossas práticas pedagógicas e dos contextos em que estas se desenvolveram.
Para além da abordagem que faremos à ação educativa desenvolvida durante o nosso estágio pedagógico, decidimos aprofundar um pouco mais uma área curricular do nosso interesse, que acabou por dar o mote para o título do nosso trabalho: “A Expressão Plástica e a Criança: Contornos para uma reflexão em Contexto de Estágio”. Neste contexto, aprofundámos alguns dos seus fundamentos, com realce para a “Expressão Artística na Educação Básica”, a “Expressão Plástica como lugar de aprendizagens” e o “Desenho como forma de expressão da criança”. Em complementaridade a estes aspetos, interessou-nos ainda explorar o papel a assumir por Educadores de Infância e Professores do 1.º Ciclo do Ensino Básico, quando convocada a área em causa na sua ação educativa diária.
Sabendo que esta área é imprescindível para o global desenvolvimento da criança, que a utiliza como forma de se exprimir, de comunicar e conhecer os outros e o mundo que a rodeia, foi igualmente importante explorar com mais detalhe algumas das suas potencialidades do ponto de vista pedagógico e didático. Neste sentido, paralelamente à análise que fizemos das nossas sequências didáticas, desenvolvemos um estudo empírico, no qual procurámos compreender as conceções de Educadores de Infância e Professores do 1.º Ciclo do Ensino Básico em relação ao lugar por ela ocupado nas suas práticas diárias. No contexto deste estudo, foram inquiridos, no total, 250 docentes que, na generalidade, sublinharam a importância dos contextos, das técnicas e dos materiais utilizados na exploração das Artes Visuais/ Expressão e Educação Plástica. Foi igualmente possível reconhecer as dificuldades identificadas por estes profissionais aquando da sua exploração, em especial, aquelas com as quais se confrontaram durante o período de ensino à distância, decorrido na sequência dos constrangimentos causados pela pandemia associada ao novo coronavírus SARS-COV-2, que afetou igualmente o nosso estágio, experiência sobre a qual também refletimos neste trabalho.
ABSTRACT: The main purpose of this Report is to present, analyze and reflect on the pedagogical practices developed within the curricular units of Pedagogical Internship I and II, in the context of the Masters in Pre-School and Elementary Education, taught at the University of the Azores. In this report we will analyze and reflect about our pedagogical practices and the environments in which these were developed. Apart from the analysis and reflection about pedagogical practices and the context in which they were developed, we explore a particular topic that eventually led to the name of this report which is: “Plastic Expression and the child: Contours for a reflection in the context of an internship.”. Having said that, in this report we explore some of its fundamentals such as “Artistic Expression in Basic Education”, “Plastic Expression as a place of learning” and “Painting as a form of expression for children”. We were also interested in exploring the part that Kindergarten and Primary School Teachers have on the subject under analysis. Since this area is essential for the overall development of a child, who uses it as a way of expressing themselves, of communicating and getting to know others and the world around them, it was equally important to explore the potential of Plastic Expression from a pedagogical and didactic point of view. With this is mind, we developed, not only an empirical study in which we sought to understand the conceptions that Early Childhood Educators and Elementary school Teachers had about our area of study, but also an analysis of our own didactic sequences. For this study a total of 250 teachers were surveyed who, in general, underlined the importance of the contexts, techniques and materials used in the exploration of Visual Arts/Expression and Plastic Education. When we analyzed their answers to the survey, it was easily recognizable the difficulties encountered by these professionals, especially during the period of distance learning, which took place as a result of the new coronavirus SARS-COV-2 pandemic, which also, unfortunately, affected our internship, an experience that we also reflect on in this report.
