O currículo para a educação pré-escolar entre o específico e o comum: o caso das OCEPE

| dc.description.abstract | Em 2016 foi publicada uma revisão das Orientações Curriculares para a Educação Pré-Escolar (OCEPE) em Portugal, 19 anos depois da primeira versão. Neste artigo procura-se discutir significados que nem sempre são óbvios na leitura deste documento curricular, no que diz respeito às conceções gerais de currículo em que assenta, às intenções que veicula, ao processo conducente à sua produção, à sua estrutura e à sua relação com os currículos de outras etapas da educação. Considerando que o conceito de currículo é aplicável a todo o sistema educativo, mas pode haver nuances na sua mobilização em diferentes etapas da educação, essa discussão atende prioritariamente à tensão entre a eventual invocação de especificidades da educação de infância e a diluição das mesmas num discurso mais baseado nas características gerais de qualquer currículo. Para sustentar a discussão, procedeu-se a uma análise do texto das próprias orientações e entrevistou-se uma das autoras. Essa entrevista permitiu a explicitação de algumas ideias que são veiculadas de forma implícita no texto, bem como o conhecimento da justificação de algumas opções assumidas pelas autoras. A principal conclusão deste trabalho é a de que refletir sobre a possibilidade de estender a outros contextos curriculares algumas das opções assumidas nas OCEPE é mais interessante que procurar nas OCEPE eventuais especificidades do currículo para a educação de infância. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | ABSTRACT: In 2016 a revision of the curricular guidelines for preschool education (OCEPE) in Portugal was published, 19 years after the first version. This article discusses meanings of the document that are not always obvious, with regard to its construction, to general conceptions of curriculum underlying it, to the intents that it expresses, to its structure, and to its relation with curricula for other levels of education. Considering that the concept of curriculum applies to the whole educational system, but its adoption in different levels of education might have some nuances, such discussion is framed by a tension between the assertion of specific features of early childhood education and discourses that invoke the general characteristics of any curriculum. In order to sustain such discussion, the text of OCEPE was analyzed and one of the authors of this curricular document was interviewed. The interview allowed for the disclosure of some ideas that are conveyed by the text in an implicit way. It also enhanced knowledge of justifications for some of the options made by the authors. The main conclusion is that reflecting on the possibility of extending some characteristics of OCEPE to other curricular contexts is more interesting than looking for specific characteristics of curricula for early childhood. | en |
