Este artigo apresenta uma análise alternativa ao estudo do pensamento de Natália Correia. Ao recorrer a uma análise sociológica, pretende descortinar o contributo social, cultural e político de uma intelectual que subtilmente se desdobra em múltiplos papéis estéticos – através da projecção de vários selves manifestos na sua poesia, peças de teatro e prosa – como também éticos. Comprometida a romper com pré-conceitos, com valores míopes que asfixiam a liberdade humana e com a ascensão de uma cultura de massas uniforme e acrítica, NC apela à criação de uma esfera pública autêntica, característica de uma democracia pluralista. Neste sentido, NC direcciona a sua crítica para a humanização da sociedade.
ABSTRACT: This article presents an alternative analysis to the study of Natalia Correia’s thought. The use of a sociological analysis intends to unveil the social, cultural and political con- tributions of an intellectual who subtly unfolds a variety of aesthetic roles – throughout the projection of multiple selves which are present in her poetry, theatre plays and prose – as well as ethical. Committed in breaking up with prejudices and shortsighted values that paralyse human freedom, and with the emergence of a uniform and uncritical mass culture, Natalia Correia calls for a genuine public sphere representative of a pluralistic democracy. Accordingly, Natalia Correia’s critique aims the construction of a humanized society.
