| dc.description.abstract | Compilou-se uma lista de 144 referências bibliográficas referentes à fauna e flora marinha da ZEE dos Açores. Omitiram-se os trabalhos relativos a mamíferos marinhos, tartarugas, aves e grandes peixes pelágicos. A maior parte dos trabalhos referem explicitamente os Açores nos seus títulos, mas incluíram-se também outras publicações em cujo texto se alude a material biológico proveniente dos Açores. De relatórios não publicados, só se incluem os que contêm informações consideradas válidas neste contexto. Além dos trabalhos citados, encontram-se numerosas referências aos Açores em relatórios de cruzeiros científicos. São disso exemplos, relatórios da expedição do navio H.M.S. 'Challenger' e grande parte dos relatórios das expedições oceanográficas do Príncipe Alberto I de Mónaco. Destes só se incluíram os que tratam especificamente o mar dos Açores. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | ABSTRACT: A list of 144 references to the marine fauna and flora within 200 miles of the Azores, has been compiled. Papers concerning marine mammals, turtles, birds, and large pelagic fish are not included. Most of the papers included refer directly to the Azores in their titles but some others mentioning Azorean material only in their text, are also listed. Unpublished reports are included if they contribute useful information. In addition to the references listed, one can find records from the Azores in many expedition reports. Examples are those of the H.M.S. 'Challenger' expedition and many of the reports of the oceanographic expeditions of H.R.H. Prince Albert I of Monaco. Of the Monaco reports, only those solely dealing with Azorean waters are included. | en |
