A atitude filosófica nos millennials: de volta aos socráticos

Esta dissertação baseia-se no reconhecimento da importância da atitude filosófica mostrando a sua pertinência e atualidade em pleno séc. XXI e no seio da Filosofia para Crianças.
Fazendo uma articulação clara entre esta atitude, tão antiga como a Filosofia em si, e a noção sobejamente aceite de pensamento crítico, encontramos o elo entre os autores clássicos e a Filosofia para Crianças.
Assim, numa verdadeira união entre passado e presente, desde autores clássicos como Sócrates, Kant ou Hume, até Dewey, pretendemos mostrar como, numa altura em que tudo mudou - a velocidade da informação, o acesso, a especialização do ensino, a tecnologia - quando nos debruçamos sobre o pensamento crítico e a atitude filosófica, o que almejamos não é diferente da visão socrática. E, quem sabe, não será esta atitude que nos continua a “salvar” e a caraterizar enquanto seres humanos e não apenas técnicos especializados?
Pretendemos igualmente mostrar como esta atitude, esta predisposição, pode ser treinada, moldada, aperfeiçoada, no seio de uma Comunidade de Investigação Filosófica, tal como foi idealizada por Lipman, Sharp ou Kennedy, considerando também a sua relevância noutras áreas do conhecimento para além da Filosofia.
ABSTRACT: This dissertation is based on the recognition of the importance of the Socratic philosophical attitude, demonstrating its significance and timeliness in the 21st century and within the Philosophy for Children movement. By clearly articulating this attitude, which is as ancient as philosophy itself, with the widely accepted notion of critical thinking, we find the link between classical authors and Philosophy for Children. Thus, in a true blending between past and present, from classical authors like Socrates, Kant, or Hume, to Dewey, we aim to show how, at a time when everything has changed - the speed of information, the access, the specialization of education, technology - when we delve into critical thinking and the philosophical attitude, what we aim for is no different from the Socratic vision. And, who knows, perhaps this attitude continues to "save" us and distinguish us as human beings and not just specialized technicians? We also aim to show how this attitude, this predisposition, can be trained, shaped, and perfected within a Community of Philosophical Inquiry, as idealized by Lipman, Sharp, or Kennedy, considering its relevance in other areas of knowledge beyond Philosophy.
