| dc.description.abstract | O turismo cultural é uma temática que tem captado cada vez mais a atenção dos investigadores, uma vez que promove a herança social do destino onde ocorre. Várias atrações turísticas podem ser criadas para transmitir a herança cultural de um povo, como é o caso dos eventos. Os eventos exercem uma forte influência na imagem do destino, sendo por vezes um fator de seleção do mesmo. Por essa razão se reconhece a importância de compreender as motivações dos visitantes que participam nestes acontecimentos. Os principais objetivos deste trabalho de investigação são determinar quais as motivações para a participação no Festival Tremor, quais as perceções dos visitantes em relação aos impactos económicos, sociais e ambientais que o festival tem sobre a comunidade local e qual o grau de satisfação manifestado perante o evento. A revisão de literatura aborda os principais conceitos relacionados com as motivações dos visitantes para participar em eventos desta natureza e o seu impacto sobre as comunidades locais. Igualmente se analisa a satisfação obtida pelos visitantes, atendendo que esta afeta a intenção de regresso e/ou recomendação do festival e do destino turístico. Quatro hipóteses são formuladas e testadas através da aplicação de um questionário aos visitantes do festival. Os resultados do estudo permitem dar um contributo para melhorar o planeamento e a gestão deste festival de música e de outros eventos desta natureza de modo a que se possam satisfazer as necessidades dos visitantes e da comunidade local. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | ABSTRACT: Cultural tourism is a subject that has attracted more and more attention from researchers, since that promotes the social heritage of the destination where it occurs. Several tourist attractions can be created to convey a cultural heritage of people, as is the case of events. Events have a strong influence on the image of destination, influencing sometimes destination choice. Taking this into account, it is important to understand the motivations of visitors that usually participate in this kind of occurences. The main objectives of this research are to determine visitors’ motivations to participate in the Tremor Festival, what are the perceptions regarding the economic, social and environmental impacts of the festival in the local community, and which satisfaction rate they manifest towards the event. A literature review addresses the key concepts related to the motivations of visitors to participate in events of this nature and their impact on the local communities. It also analyzes the satisfaction obtained by the visitors, attending that this affects the intention of return and / or recommendation of the festival and the tourist destination. Four hypotheses are formulated and tested by applying a questionnaire to festival visitors. The study results contribute to the improvement of planning and management of the music festival and other events of the same nature in order to meet the needs of visitors and the local community. | en |
