Abstract(s)
In the present paper is given an account of the species of insects collected in the
course of a "Santa Maria e Formigas 1990 Cientific Expedition", in June 1990, in Santa
Maria island - archipelago of the Azores. A preliminary list of the Lepidoptera (21 species) and Hymenoptera (6 species) of Santa Maria is elaborated. Some remarks are also given about Mythimna unipuncta (Haw.) (Lep., Noctuidae) and the relationship between armyworm and its natural enemies, especially Apanteles militaris Walsh (Hym., Braconidae).
