Abstract(s)
ABSTRACT: Discrimination is experienced daily in various contexts and the labor market is no exception. It can occur due to several factors such as race, ethnicity, level of disability, gender identity, sexual orientation and gender expression, among others. Although many countries, including Portugal, have legislation against discrimination, situations of LGBTI-phobia in the labor market remain evident (Pichardo et al., 2019). In this context, the present dissertation aims to contribute to the analysis of discrimination in the labor market against LGBTQIA+ individuals in Portugal, through a quantitative and qualitative survey involving 94 participants, both LGBTQIA+ and non-LGBTQIA+, with experience in the portuguese labor market. The results obtained show that, despite legal protections, discrimination against LGBTQIA+ individuals in the portuguese labor market still persists.
