Abstract(s)
ABSTRACT: We point out as the main themes of Gustavo de Fraga’s Antero essays, firstly, the study of the philosophical roots of Antero’s thought, with emphasis on Hegel, Proudhon and Eduard von Hartmann; secondly, the difficulties created by religious sentiment in the articulation of his “philosophy” in a ordered system of ideas; and lastly, the interest he showed in Iberian Union, federalism, as well as the connection to the Azores.
