O presente trabalho consiste num relatório de estágio desenvolvido no âmbito do mestrado em Ciências Económicas e Empresariais, com especialização em Finanças e Contabilidade, da Universidade dos Açores. O estágio descrito, com a duração de um ano, foi iniciado a 2 de setembro de 2024 e realizou-se na empresa Catarina Rocha, Lda., escritório de prestação de serviços de contabilidade.
No decorrer do relatório, é realizado um enquadramento teórico sobre a contabilidade e uma caracterização da empresa acolhedora do estágio. De seguida são descritas as atividades desenvolvidas e, por fim, é elaborada uma análise crítica a todo o estágio.
A partir do enquadramento teórico, é dada a conhecer a história da contabilidade e a sua evolução desde os primeiros indícios da escrituração até à contabilidade moderna que conhecemos hoje, bem como o seu conceito e quatro características chave. São, também, exploradas as várias divisões que a contabilidade pode ter para melhor adequar o tratamento da informação contabilística às empresas; e a forma como a contabilidade e os recursos humanos, apesar de duas áreas aparentemente distintas, se podem complementar em função do sucesso das empresas.
Na caracterização da empresa, verifica-se que esta é uma microempresa focada no crescimento dos negócios locais e com um conhecimento vasto das diversas necessidades e atividades dos seus clientes.
As atividades desenvolvidas durante o estágio que se encontram descritas neste relatório são a receção, classificação, lançamento e arquivo de documentos; procedimentos de controlo interno; atividades relacionadas com recursos humanos; e obrigações fiscais e contributivas, destacando o Modelo 22 sobre o IRC.
Finalmente, a partir da análise crítica ao estágio é constatado como a Catarina Rocha, Lda. é uma empresa com um bom ambiente de trabalho e de que forma certos pontos e características suas, como a dependência no mercado local, podem influenciar o seu sucesso. Nas atividades desenvolvidas, algumas apresentaram uma execução mais fácil que outras sendo sentido sempre o apoio de todos os colegas no escritório. Também, toda a formação académica serviu de ferramenta que forneceu conhecimentos imprescindíveis ao sucesso do estágio.
ABSTRACT: This work consists of an internship report developed as part of the Master’s degree in Economics and Management Sciences, with a specialization in Finance and Accounting, from the University of the Azores. The described intership, with a duration of one year, began on September 2, 2024 and took place in the company Catarina Rocha, Lda., an accounting services firm. Throughout the report, it is provided a theoretical framework on accounting and a characterization of the company hosting the internship. Then, the activities developed are described and, finally, a critical analysis of the entire intership is conducted. From the theoretical framework, it is presented the history of accounting and its evolution since the first signs of bookkeeping up to the modern accounting we know today, as well as its concept and four key characteristics. It is, also, explored the various divisions that accounting can have to better adapt the treatment of accounting information to companies; and the way in which accounting and human resources, despite being two seemingly distinct areas, can complement each other for the success of companies. In the company’s characterization, it is observed that this is a microenterprise focused on the growth of local businesses and with extensive knowledge of the clients’ various needs and activities. The activities developed during the intership that are described in this report are the reception, classification, entry and archiving of documents; internal control procedures; human resources related activities; and tax and contributory obligations, highlighting the Modelo 22 for corporate income tax. Finally, from the intership’s critical analysis, it is possible to see how Catarina Rocha, Lda. is a company with a good work environment and how certain aspects and characteristics of it, such as dependence on the local market, can influence its success. Among the developed activities, some were easier to execute than others, but it was always felt the support from all the colleagues in the office. Also, all the academic training served as a tool that provided knowledge essential to the success of the intership.
