| dc.description.abstract | Dans cette article il est question de l'analyse de deux cas d'innovation technique dans le domaine des systèmes de pêche où l'art des potiers de Vila Franca do Campo a joué un rôle assez important. Premièrement et dans le but de perfectionner le filet et de mieux l'adapter à la topographie sousmarine, ce qui augmenterait et améliorerait l'efficacité de la traîne, les pêcheurs faisaient faire des poids en terre cuite aux potiers. Le deuxième cas porte sur une expérience, de source officielle, qui visait l'introduction aux Açores de la capture différée du poulpe avec une filière de récipients céramiques, à l'aide d'une embarcation et d'un groupe de travail. Quoique ce project ait échoué, il a cependant laissé des traces dans la poterie de Vila Franca do Campo. | fra |
| dc.description.abstract | ABSTRACT: In this article, two cases of technological innovation in the realm of fishing are analysed, where in the art of the potters from Vila Franca do Campo played a very important role. Firstly, the improvement of the trawl net is studied, with the aim of adapting it to the topography of the ocean floors and of increasing its efficiency, which led fishermen to order clay weights from the potters. Secondly, an officially sponsored experience is addressed. It aimed to introduce the capture of octopus in the Azores by using a network of ceramic receptacles cast from a vessel by a work group. | en |
